An Extraordinary Place is an award-winning documentary about WMPG, a nonprofit radio station powered by 200 volunteers. Highlighting volunteerism’s power to foster joy, meaning, and belonging, the film celebrates diversity and connection.

The film is currently screening at film festivals throughout 2024 and 2025 and will be added to Maine Public TV in 2025.
