About

WMPG is a non profit radio station broadcasting from the University of Southern Maine in Portland.

An Extraordinary Place takes viewers on a remarkable journey through the lives of the students and community members who volunteer at the radio station. It highlights their passion for community and music.

The film itself is a rollicking 30-minute production that showcases the people behind the microphone, taking viewers into the heart of the station and its community-first ethos. It is, by turns, laugh-out-loud funny and touchingly poignant,” writes Frank Gallagher, a Project Specialist in the Office of Student Affairs at the University of Southern Maine.
